Floyd Residence

This 1980s Seattle home was a mismatch of staid materials, details and awkward additions. After the homeowners addressed the major organizational issues in the home, they contacted Wynn + Associates, with a challenge for the final piece of the puzzle: the front elevation facing the street and the main entry to the house. We built off their strong design vision with this bold addition that tied together the whole project in form and material. The front elevation design included a new Corten steel box around the existing window and integrated a steel awning for the garage in addition to landscape and grading improvements. Their builder Donnie Balvin was an essential part of the collaboration in turning this idea into a reality.
